Admission Process

University of Jammu holds the selection process for the Bachelor of Education course and declares the list of selected candidates. The following process is adopted for the admission in our college:

  1. Selected candidates are required to verify their documents from University of Jammu authorities.

  2. Collection of allotment slips from University.

  3. Payment of prescribed fee at J&K Bank New University Campus.

  4. Reporting at our college for admission.

  5. Fill up the College Admission Form.

Documents required

  1. Passport size photographs (7 Nos.)

  2. Original documents along with Unattested photocopies of the following:

  3. Matriculation (with Date of Birth)

  4. BA/BCom./BSc. (Marks Certificate and Degree)

  5. MA/MCom./MSc. (Marks Certificate and Degree)

  6. Migration Certificate from University last attended

  7. Affidavit

Eligibility

Students seeking admission in University of Jammu for the first time have to apply for Eligibility Certificate. All students who do not possess Degree Certificate and Migration Certificate at the time of admission are directed to obtain these documents at the time of joining the college otherwise their admission shall stand provisional till they submit these testimonials.

 

Tuition Fees

  1. Fees will be charged as per University regulations and guidelines.

  2. Examination fee shall be realised form each student admitted to the course as fixed by the University.

  3. The fee and other dues, including library security and computed fee etc. shall be deposited in lumpsum in the college within a week of the selection or as permit­ted by management. Failure to deposit fee etc. shall automatically result in the cancellation of admission.

  4. No fee or portion thereof is refundable or is kept in deposit or transferred, once a student has been admitted to the college provisionally or finally even if a student does not want to continue for one reason or the other or has migrated to any other place or institution or if he/she is declared ineligible for appearing in the examination or if his/her admission is cancelled due to his/her own fault or any other reason not mentioned in the prospectus.

Discipline

  1. During the training Period in the college the students are expected to evince a high sense of discipline and good behaviour.

  2. The students shall not take part in any political activity nor shall they indulge in any subversive and anti-social activity.   

  3. No student of the college shall accept or retain full time or part time job during the period of his/her training in this institution.

  4. No student of the college shall appear in any other examination of any University/Institution as long as he/she is undergoing B.Ed. training.

  5. A student remaining on unauthorized absence continuously for 15 days shall be liable to be struck off the rolls. An absence fine of Rs. 10.00 per day shall be charged from those who remain absent or miss a lecture on working days.

  6. For eligibility to sit in the University examination at least 75% of the attendance in lectures is required in each paper.

  7. Students are expected to obey instructions as are notified from time to time. The head of the institution can fine a student, suspend him/her and in serious case, even rusticate or expel him/her from the college. The head of the institute is the final authority in all such cases. Strict disciplinary action shall be taken and / or fine imposed against students who remain habitually absent, or who do not appear in the examinations tests conducted by the college from time to time.

  8. The final interpretation of the rules and regulations contained in this handbook lies with college authorities.

  9. The institution reserves the right to change the rules and regulations contained in this prospectus from time to time without giving any prior notice.

  10. Students are advised to carefully read all rules and regulations contained in this prospectus and strictly follow them. After admission of a candidate is finalised, it shall be taken for granted that all rules have been properly read by him. No excuse shall be entertained on this account later on.

  11. Students are expected to follow the schedule of activity or calendar framed for the college and take part in curricular and co-curricular activities as per instruc­tions of the teachers and authorities.

  12. Proceeding on long leave, abstaining from classes, especially before/after examination and summer/festival winter break shall be construed as an act of willful neglect for which heavy fine and or disciplinary action may be taken against defaulters.

  13. All students are expected to perform some duties/activities in college/institution functions such as NSS activities and other socially useful productive work. Refusal to participate in these activities and unwillingness to come for rehears­als etc, before and after the college time or during holidays etc., shall be dealt with strictly.
